Excelym has achieved a major milestone by obtaining its SOC 2 Type I certification. This certification is a testament to our commitment to maintaining the highest level of security and privacy for our clients’ data. We are proud to announce that we have passed all five trust service principles with flying colors: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
Understanding SOC 2 Compliance
SOC 2 (System and Organization Controls) is a standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), which evaluates an organization’s controls related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy in service organizations. The Type I certification means that we have successfully implemented these controls and they are designed effectively to meet the standards set by AICPA.
SOC 2 compliance is not mandatory but has become increasingly important as more organizations rely on third-party service providers to handle their sensitive data. By obtaining this certification, Excelym has proven that it has the necessary safeguards in place to protect our clients’ information and ensure their trust and confidence in our services.

What’s next for Excelym
We are committed to further enhancing our security measures and are currently undergoing the SOC 2 Type II audit, which assesses the effectiveness of our controls over a period of time. This ongoing evaluation allows us to demonstrate that not only are our systems designed well, but they are also operating effectively on a consistent basis. We anticipate completing this audit by the end of the year, further reinforcing our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of security and privacy for our clients’ data.
